Fabulous Feline Follies, Sept 26 1998
Follies 97 - photos.Our main fundraiser every year is the Fabulous Feline Follies dinner/dance. Follies is held at EFBC/FCC in Rosamond, CA. Dress is casual. A silent auction offers fabulous cat items for your FCC donations. A raffle and door prizes add to the excitement of the evening.
Donations of auction/raffle items are accepted year-round. Call or email if you are interested in donating items for Follies 98.
Spring Twilight Tour - April 25th
Special evening open houses called "Twilight Tours" are held three times a year (spring, summer, and fall). The only time the compound is open in the evening, the cats are much more active. Also, visitors can wander around parts of the compound that are not open to visitors during the day. Because of that, the Twilight Tours are restricted to adults only (18 and over). There is an admission fee of $15 per person; this includes full camera/video privileges for that night. A special photo opportunity with one of our friendlier cats is a Twilight Tour highlight. For only $5, you can have your photo taken with a cat - often Peaches the ocelot. She's very friendly, and loves to sit on laps.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. until 8:30-9 pm. There is a bake sale sponsored by FCC's American Association of Zookeepers (AAZK) chapter, a raffle, and other surprises - a snake or raptor exhibit, cubs out on leashes - there's something different every time, and of course lots of beautiful cats to see, hear, and photograph! Twilight Tours are limited to 400 people, so make your reservations early! Call (805) 256-3793, 10 am-4 pm except Wednesdays.
